About Carrie Sanford
Many ask me the question, “How did you decide to become a hairstylist?” All I remember is being in the salon getting my nails fixed for the 3rd time that week when my stylist said “Carrie, you should go to school for this, you’d be great at it!” I thought wow, she’s right! I now have 16 years of experience… and hands down my favorite thing about doing hair is all the deep genuine relationships I have formed with my guests. Watching them transform not only in my chair, but also succeeding in life. They have watched me progress and have cheered me on as well. I have worked for several different salons in the past as a salon jumper. I just never found my home. At my last salon, I won a place on the national Redken education team, allowing me to grow leaps and bounds! After 7 years with them I knew it was time to find my forever home! My clients walk in and it’s a breathe of fresh air for them. It’s peaceful, private, and man we have so much fun! Being in business for myself at Salons By JC, has allowed me to open up and discover so much more in my industry. I have found a new love and passion for amazing brands that I believe in. I provide all natural vegan sulfate free self sustaining products that are NOT animal tested.
Being my own boss gave me the power to choose, and with my choices came big amazing change. I’m proud to be working around the industries’ top artists that respect every career within Salons By JC. What has been unique within my time at Salons By JC is what is shared behind my closed door. We all know the stylists’ job is never just hair! My life outside my career is an extension of loving people. I have a deep passion for people who need to be loved and accepted for who they are. I love to travel with my church on missions all over the world to help meet humanitarian needs. My favorite though is when my two passions collide. Beauty can bring people together in the most special, life changing way. I really work hard to reach the heart through the art of hair.
I specialize in almost everything, there’s not a thing I don’t love to do but my favorite is total transformations! I do ombre, balayage, splashlighting, color corrective services, HairTreats hair extensions, updos, and love to do short fun cuts. I am a trendy stylist but also do soft and beautiful very well too. I am Redken color certified, Redken Design certified, I have my Redken Specialist and Master Specialist certifications and attend at least 10-15 classes per year.
